With a near-perfect score of 99.0, Pat Buzzard has repeated as the DCA Individual and Ensemble Champion for Baritone. The I&E contest, held annualy at the Drum Corps Associates Championships, brings together the finest DCA performers from across the country. This year's contest was talent-rich with 16 competitors vying for the title in the Bariton/Euphonium category. As returing champion, Pat was allowed to perform last. The room was anticipating a great performance and the 100 or so in attendance were not disappointed. Pat performed "Achilles" and finished with a standing ovation from the crowd. There was no doubt who the winner was! We hear special plans are being made for '08 - can you say three-peat? You can see Pat's winning performance here:
