Director Ellen Schueller is pleased to announce the 2009 program for the Lakeshoremen Drum & Bugle Corps. The program, entitled "Days of Future Passed" is based on the music of The Moody Blues. The 1960's progressive rock group's album of the same name was hailed as an innovative blend of classical and pop music.
The 2009 program will continue the history of challenging musical selections put on the field by the corps, including "Dawn is a Feeling", "Another Morning", "Peak Hour" and "Tuesday Afternoon". Rounding out the program is an orchestral adaptation of the recognizable "Nights in White Satin".
The 2009 Program is being brought to the field by Program Coordinator John Salamay. Returning to the Lakeshoremen as Visual Coordinator is Billy Kidd. Joining Kidd will be new staff members Jeremiah Falvey (Horn), Karen Sawaya (Guard), and Nick Saputo (Percussion).
"This team brings an extraordinary amount of talent and experience to the Lakeshoremen for 2009", says Director Schueller. "This team has been working for months already, and are determined to increased to performance level of the corps for the upcoming season".
